The Era of Muelves Judica
The Era of Muelves Judica marked the earliest known age of the inhabitants of Mwan Kias, long before the world would come to be known as the Fourth Lebros.
It was the dawn of creation—the age when the great races first established themselves across the planet. Tribes of Muelves, humans, Atlas people, dwarves, and the Little People inhabited the vast lands, while smaller city-states belonging to fairies and goblins began to emerge throughout the distant regions.
As the centuries passed, the Muelves grew increasingly powerful, particularly in the ancient arts of magic. Their mastery of mystical forces allowed them to establish dominance over much of the surface world. Their kingdoms expanded, and many of the lesser races eventually settled within territories controlled by the Muelves.
The Atlas people followed a different path.
Rather than seeking power through magic, they turned their attention toward science. Mathematics, chemistry, and the study of the natural world became the foundation of their civilization. Eventually, the Atlas people established a vast underwater kingdom beneath the oceans of Mwan Kias, with the Oceans of Amaniculz becoming the center of their civilization.
Their knowledge and technological advancement allowed them to accomplish things no other race had achieved.
The remaining inhabitants formed their own kingdoms and city-states. Most lived within territories governed by the Muelves, although certain human civilizations and several fairy settlements existed within the realms controlled by the Atlas people.
Yet the greatest mystery of the age existed long before either civilization appeared.
The Muemurians.
Ancient records suggest that the Muemurians existed approximately 7,500 years before the first Atlas people and Muelves were ever sighted on Mwan Kias. They were believed to have been one of the earliest advanced races to inhabit the planet.
Then they vanished.
No surviving civilization possesses a definitive explanation for their disappearance.
Some scholars believe the Muemurians gradually evolved into the races that inhabit Mwan Kias today. Others believe most of the Muemurians perished, while the survivors advanced beyond their former civilization. Another theory claims that a portion of the Muemurians escaped the planet entirely, leaving Mwan Kias behind.
There is no concrete evidence to prove any of these theories.
Their disappearance remains one of the oldest mysteries in the history of Mwan Kias.
Eventually, the Era of Muelves Judica came to an end.
The growing rivalry between the Muelves and the Atlas people finally erupted into open war. What began as a struggle for influence became a conflict that would last twelve years and devastate much of the known world.
Neither civilization emerged victorious.
As the war reached its final stage, the Muelves and the Atlas people withdrew from the surface world. Both races disappeared deep within the oceans, abandoning their claims to the surface lands and retreating into their respective hidden realms.
The withdrawal created a power vacuum.
Humans and dwarves seized the opportunity.
For the first time, the two races began working together in secret, combining the ancient principles of Muelve magic with the sciences developed by the Atlas people. Their objective was unlike anything attempted before: the creation and study of a new form of power born from the union of magic and science.
But their experiments came at a terrible cost.
While the Muelves were still recovering and regrouping from their twelve-year war, forces from the Peaks of Ruin began to gather.
Demon armies emerged from the mountains.
At their head stood an ancient and ruthless ruler known as Wolfbangous.
Under his command, the demon armies descended upon the lands of Mwan Kias, conquering kingdoms, destroying civilizations, and spreading fear across the continent.
What began as a secret pursuit of power among humans and dwarves ultimately opened the way for something far more dangerous.
The reign of Wolfbangous would last for the next 850 years.
And the age that followed would forever change the history of Mwan Kias.
