Happy New Year and a very special thanks…

Everyone I want to thank for all the support you gave me for the entire year.  This year I have seen a growth in writing that resulted in more sells, exposure, focus and making connections with other writers and artist.  There have been changes, some good and some bad but it balances out to a productive medium which I can say, I have no regrets.  It is good to take the time in quiet moments to reflect and also create a plan of progression for the next coming months.  I don’t do any New Years Resolutions, I believe convictions of that nature are made throughout the year.  I remember my brother from another mother, F. Kenneth Taylor and I, back in 1999 made our last resolution and it was “Gotta do what we gotta do!”

I love my family! I love my mother with all my heart along with my little boo boo.  I love my brother, my sister in law, my nieces along with my aunts, uncles, cousins and everyone else!  I have love from my St. Louis peoples, Po Theory!  My DMV folks along with GA, Cali and Louisana (way too many to name, I have a huge extended family).

2019 will be a continuing of what has happened this year but the difference is more progression.  Expect to see my upcoming books:
Shadow Within A City “Ghost Squad’s Apocalypse” (co-written with F. Kenneth Taylor)
She is to be remembered
Untitled book of poetry

Also look for more On Location features as well as coverage of special events in the DMV area. Look for my podcast of Kaydee’s Thoughts for the Moment to return on January 7th at 6:30pm EST.  Again, thanks to everyone who has visited my site, the likes, the comments, everything!  Remember it is greatly appreciated because you took the time out of your day to share it with me!

Aldous Huxley; Lessons Anew, Philosophy Gained

An older piece I wrote for Some Unique Magazine that I think you would find interesting. One of my favorite writers.

LESSONS  ANEW,  PHILOSOPHY  GAINED

“It is a bit embarrassing to have been concerned with the human problem all one’s life and find at the end that one has no more to offer by way of advice than try to be a little kinder.”
– Aldous Huxley

He gave way to the essence of one’s self in relationship to society to which society was growing way too fast; devolving into an insensitive authority. He look at the way of how so many things are very antisocial. You are just a number in a machine. The working environment of a collective state called society.

Aldous Huxley, as I can gather, warned against us as a whole, giving up control of our lives to the governing power with no need of an aggression as a mandate. The mandate is what we see in the form…
