Aretha, Queen of Soul
Every note a prayer,
Smooth as silk,
Strong as steel.
Singing the blues
With the rhythm
Of her soul.
Standing tall with
Conviction and confidence,
The content of her character
Demanding respect.

  1. Beautiful Aretha, she sure did command R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Just as much, she let her voice and her convictions, not her looks or publicity-hounding antics, carry her decades-long, very accomplished career. What a woman!
